Tanqueray No. 10
Bart Cooke's still life photography combines meticulous technique, a wry sense of humor, and a true eye for artistry.
His work is defined by a modern, sophisticated simplicity. The visually layered images contain an almost technological level of detail that belie the images' traditional photographic origins – elements which appear to be computer-generated are in actuality the result of traditional photography. Assumptions are inverted and the resulting work lives in two worlds.
Born in London and raised in California, Bart honed his craft at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena.
